With a career spanning almost 70 years, living legend Buddy Guy is one of the most influential guitarists in the history of the blues. It’s a well known fact that alongside Albert King, Jimi Hendrix and Albert Collins, Buddy was one of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s heroes. You can certainly hear the source of SRV’s inspiration on this classic live record. Opening with a classic uptown Chicago Shuffle groove over which Buddy delivers his often imitated signature phrases, you can hear that Chicago’s finest really means business on this album. His vocal performance is just as fiery as his guitar playing throughout. An essential blues record.
